Birthright of Winona depends on donations from the community in order to carry out its mission. We do not accept funding from the government or lobby groups. We are grateful for each and every donation whether it is monetary, material items to be given out to clients, or the gift of donating time by volunteering. Donations to Birthright of Winona are tax-deductible. If you would like to donate to Birthright of Winona and help women who are facing an unplanned pregnancy, there are several options available.
Angel Drive
Our annual Angel Drive kicks-off each fall and runs through the holidays. This is our only fundraiser and is the primary way in which we receive funding to support our mission. We accept donations of money and material items, reaching out to the community through letters sent in the mail. Several local churches offer their help by graciously allowing us to place small “giving trees” at their location. Ornaments displayed on the trees list various baby items on our wish list and are exchanged by those who wish to buy that item to support the clients we serve.
General Donations
We accept general donations of money through-out the year. A donation can be mailed or dropped off at our office. Our address is 920 W. Fifth St., Winona, MN 55987.
Baby Items
To support expecting mothers and those who have recently had a baby, we provide layettes, baby clothes, blankets, diapers, wipes, etc. for those in financial need. We accept donations of new and unused baby items through-out the year at our office. (At this time, we do not accept baby furniture such as cribs, playpens and car seats.) Volunteer
Donating your time to volunteer at Birthright is another way in which you can help. We are in need of volunteers to staff the office in addition to other tasks that keep Birthright running smoothly.
